I learned a lot and had fun figureing out puzzles and math promblems on games i played as a kid like zelda and number munchers, I mean with videos games kids are most likely to be bored to death and not want to do anything, video games give kids the adrineline rush they need just from all the hype involved. So weither its suger games radio, which obama did state this was a good way to reach kids, the promblem is not how kids learn it if the learning.
Obama wasn't talking about the same video games that you are. Children need to study more. And especially TV needs to be limited. Children need to read more. We kept my grandson (Kindergarten) away from video games like Obama was talking about (he had the ones like you're talking about) and limited his TV time. We made him read and do homework (and yes, he had homework in Kindergarten) and just today we got his National CAT scores back and he was over 90 percentile in everything, but math in which he was 75 percentile. So it paid of in our case. He was above average in everything, but he is not naturally that intelligent. We made him work.
