how is math incorporated in video games?

i dont mean what video games have math in them, but how is math used and played in a video game?

    Any computer program, game or otherwise is based on a DOS file. As incredible as it sounds everything in DOS is a unique combination of
    1s and 0s like 100000110001 means something (I don't know what it means, it was just an example).

    I'm not sure exactly what you mean by how its used or played but I hope this helps.
